The CDEC social media pages are intended to focus on the discussion of matters related to the CDEC and its mission. While we encourage you to submit your comments, questions, and concerns, the Department reserves the right to delete any and all comments and other submissions that contain:
- Threats (statements communicating an intent to commit an actual act of violence)
- Fighting words (statements that tend to incite an immediate breach of peace and are directed at a CDEC employee or employees)
- Sexual/obscene content
- Comments that infringe on copyrights or other intellectual property rights
- Libelous comments (false statements that intentionally damage someone’s reputation)
- Hate speech
- Profanity, obscenity, or vulgarity — including creative spellings of such language
- Personal attacks of any kind, which are intended or cause harassment
- Promotion of unlawful discrimination
- Political campaign-related content
- Spam comments that cause harassment
- Promotion or incitement of illegal or criminal activity
- Commercial speech (promotion for a business with the intent of pecuniary gain, or promotion of a commercial transaction)
- Personally identifiable information (PII) and personal health information (PHI)
- Information that may compromise the safety, security, or proceedings of public systems or any criminal or civil investigations
- Other comments that the CDEC’s social media team deems inappropriate based on the defined list above
