Cassandra P. Johnson is the Chief Foundation Officer for TruNorth Foundation, a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm of TruNorth Institute, and the Policy Advocacy Chair for the National Black Child Development Institute Colorado Affiliate. In her dual roles, Cassandra empowers BIPOC and LGBTQAI+ communities through strategic initiatives and policy advocacy. She collaborates with community partners to implement TruNorth's programs nationally and internationally.
With over 25 years in the nonprofit sector, Cassandra has extensive experience in public policy, administration, capacity building, diversity, equity, inclusion, early childhood leadership, and community engagement. At TruNorth Foundation, she oversees Leadership Development, Technical Assistance for Non-Profits & Public Service, Community-building Events & Programs, and Purpose-Driven Philanthropy, inspired by the new Reconstruction era. Leveraging TruNorth Institute's resources and expertise, the Foundation drives impactful, lasting change towards a more equitable world.
